Special Education & Intervention Programs
Dyslexia
- Reading Intervention Programs: We use structured, multisensory reading approaches such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Spalding, which are proven to help students with dyslexia master decoding and comprehension.
- Explicit Phonics Instruction:Systematic, direct instruction in phonemic awareness and spelling patterns.
- Assistive Technology: Text-to-speech, audiobooks, and speech recognition tools support reading and writing access.
- Progress Monitoring: Regular assessments track student growth and inform instruction, allowing us to adjust strategies as needed.
- Parent Collaboration: We work closely with families to provide resources, strategies, and support for reinforcing learning at home.
We believe that our program offers the best approach for students with dyslexia by combining evidence-based, multisensory reading instruction with individualized support tailored to each learner’s needs. Using proven interventions like Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Spalding, we target the root challenges of dyslexia—such as phonemic awareness, decoding, and fluency—in a structured and supportive virtual environment. Our highly trained educators provide consistent, explicit instruction while incorporating assistive technology to enhance access and engagement. We are committed to creating a learning experience where students with dyslexia feel empowered, capable, and confident in their ability to succeed.
Dyscalculia
- Key Supports for Dyscalculia:
- Explicit, Step-by-Step Instruction: Concepts are broken down into manageable chunks. Lessons follow a concrete-to-representational-to-abstract (CRA) model to build understanding from hands-on to symbolic thinking.
- Visual and Hands-On Learning: Use of visual aids such as number lines, place value charts, manipulatives (both physical and digital), and graphic organizers. Interactive math tools and apps help reinforce concepts in engaging ways.
- Multisensory Techniques: Incorporates visual (color-coding), auditory (verbalizing steps), and tactile (drag-and-drop, drawing, or physical manipulatives) approaches. Helps students internalize math patterns and relationships.
- Assistive Technology: Tools like virtual manipulatives, talking calculators, step-by-step math solvers, and audio-supported instruction reduce barriers. Use of math fact practice tools that adapt to the student’s pace and level.
- Individualized Support: Instruction tailored to each student’s IEP or learning plan, with scaffolded tasks and modified assessments. Frequent check-ins and reteaching sessions ensure mastery before moving on.
- Building Number Sense: Focus on understanding quantities, patterns, and relationships rather than rote memorization. Daily practice with real-world math applications to increase relevance and confidence.
We include a phenomenal approach to teaching students with dyscalculia because our program combines structured, multisensory math instruction with personalized supports that address each learner’s unique needs. By using visual models, interactive tools, and step-by-step instruction, we help students build strong number sense and confidence in their mathematical abilities. Our lessons follow a concrete-to-abstract progression and incorporate real-world applications to make math meaningful and accessible. With targeted interventions, assistive technology, and compassionate teaching, we ensure that every student with dyscalculia can experience success and growth in math.
Outcome Goals:
• Improve number fluency and problem-solving skills
• Reduce math anxiety through supportive, success-oriented instruction
• Build a positive math identity with measurable progress over time
Dysgraphia
- Writing Supports: Instruction includes keyboarding skills, graphic organizers, sentence starters, and structured writing templates.
- Occupational Therapy Integration: Targeted exercises and fine motor support can be embedded virtually or through guided activities.
- Digital Tools: Voice-to-text software and word prediction programs reduce handwriting barriers.
We believe that our program offers the best approach to supporting students with dysgraphia by addressing both the cognitive and physical aspects of writing through a comprehensive, individualized framework. Our instruction integrates multisensory strategies, explicit handwriting, keyboarding instruction, and the use of assistive technology such as speech-to-text and word prediction tools. Students receive structured support in organizing their thoughts, planning their writing, and building fine motor skills when needed. By combining accommodations, targeted interventions, and engaging digital resources, we help students with dysgraphia develop written expression skills with confidence and reduced frustration.
ADHD
- Flexible Structure: Short, interactive lessons with clear routines help sustain attention and reduce overwhelm.
- Visual Schedules & Checklists: Help students manage time and transitions more independently.
- Behavior Supports: Positive reinforcement, movement breaks, and goal-setting strategies support executive functioning and self-regulation.
We believe our program offers the best approach to supporting students with ADHD by combining structure, flexibility, and engaging instruction tailored to their needs. Our lessons are designed to be interactive, concise, and visually organized to help maintain focus and reduce cognitive overload. We incorporate tools like visual schedules, checklists, and built-in movement breaks to support executive functioning and self-regulation. Through consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and personalized supports, we create an environment where students with ADHD can stay engaged, build confidence, and thrive academically and socially.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- • Predictable Routines: A consistent virtual environment with visual supports and clear expectations reduces anxiety and supports independence.
- • Social Skills Integration: Explicit teaching of communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction embedded through virtual group activities and targeted instruction.
- • Individualized Instruction: Lessons are tailored to match sensory preferences, interests, and processing styles, with accommodations for communication and engagement needs.
We also believe that we best support students with autism through our unique, student-centered approach that emphasizes structure, flexibility, and individualized learning. Our program provides predictable routines, visual supports, and clear communication strategies that create a safe and supportive virtual environment. We prioritize social-emotional growth alongside academic progress, offering tailored instruction, sensory-friendly accommodations, and opportunities for developing communication and life skills. By honoring each student’s strengths, interests, and learning style, we foster meaningful engagement, independence, and a sense of belonging for every learner on the autism spectrum.
